【摘要】:Theproceduresinthisstandardcanbeusedforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsofcoatedandlaminatedfabricsforarchitecturalusesincethesetestmethodshavebeenusedextensivelyinthetradeforacceptancetesting.Cautionisadvised,however,whentestingadhesionofcoatingtofabricandbreakingstrengthaftercreasefoldbecausebetweenlaboratoryprecisionisknowntobepoor(see24.2).Forthesecases,comparativetestsconducted,asdirectedin5.1.1,maybeadvisable.5.1.1IncasesofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingTestMethodsD4851foracceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimenswhichareashomogeneousaspossibleandfromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Theaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingappropriatestatisticalanalysisforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforethetestingisbegun.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultswithconsiderationoftheknownbias.Theusesandsignificanceofspecificpropertiesarediscussedintheappropriatesectionsofspecifictestmethods.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthetestingofcoatedandlaminatedfabricsmadeprimarilyforuseinfabricroofsystems.Thesecoatedandlaminatedfabricsaregenerallyineitheranairsupportedortensionsupportedconstructionoffabricroofsystems.1.2Thesemethodscanbeusedformostfiber-based,coatedandlaminatedarchitecturalfabrics.1.3Thisstandardincludesthefollowingsectionsthatprovidetestproceduresforcoatedandlaminatedarchitecturalfabrics:1.4Thesetestmethodsincludeonlytestingproceduresanddonotincludespecificationsortolerances.Theyareintendedasaguideforspecifications.Anyofthesemethodsmaybeusedinmaterialspecificationstoevaluaterequirementsforaspecificenduseasrelatedtoaparticularjob.1.5ThevaluesstatedineitherSIorinch-poundunitsaretoregardedseparatelyasthestandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareshowninparentheses.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
