【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversanenginetestprocedureforthemeasurementoftheeffectsofautomotiveengineoilsonthefueleconomyofpassengercarsandlight-duty3856kg(8500lb),orless,grossvehicleweighttrucks.Thetestsareconductedusingaspecified4.6-Lspark-ignitionengineonadynamometerteststand.Itappliestomultiviscositygradeoilsusedintheseapplications.CompaniontestmethodsusedtoevaluateengineoilperformanceforspecificationrequirementsarediscussedinthelatestrevisionofSpecificationD4485.ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasthestandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsarestatedfirstwiththeotherunitsshowninparentheses.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Thistestmethodisarrangedasfollows:
