【摘要】:ThispartofBS5446specifiesrequirementsandtestmethodsforsmokealarmsusingscatteredlight,transmittedlight,orionizationintendedforpermanentinstallationonceilingsorwallsofdwellingsforthepurposeoflifesafety.Italsocoverssmokealarmssuitableforuseinleisureaccommodationvehicles(LAVs).NOTE1Equipmentconformingtothisstandardmaynotbesuitableforuseinboatsduetothecorrosiveatmosphere.NOTE2Althoughnotcoveredbythisstandard,equipmentisavailableforusewithsmokealarmsinordertoprovideasuitablewarningsystemforusebythedeafandhearingimpaired.
